Collect Open 2019

I am very pleased to announce that I have been selected to show new work at Collect Open 2019. Curated by the Crafts Council at Saatchi Gallery, London, Collect Open provides a platform for 15 individual artists to show ambitious and conceptual craft led installations. My participation has been supported by a grant from Arts Council England.

I will be showing my new glass wall installation, West South West. Made of waterjet cut and kilnformed Bullseye glass, this new work reflects my research into the Bronze Age landscape of West Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Each shaped panel is an individual window into remote and ancient places, recording changes over time.

Cultivator Cornwall Creative Investment

Following on from my funded research visit to the University of Sunderland/National glass Centre last year, to use state of the art water jet cutting facilities with Dr Joanne Mitchell, I have been awarded a second Cultivator Cornwall Creative Investment Grant. New photography with Eastwood Studios is recording an evolving glass installation, Tregeseal, which focuses on a particular place near St Just in West Cornwall.
